Gatita is a self-taught artist — Colombian born, Texas raised, and an auto-proclaimed Colombo-Texan. She picked up a pencil at 11 and never really put it down.

She draws all kinds of things — but two very opinionated cats keep stealing the spotlight. They knock things off tables, stare at walls for no reason, and have absolutely no remorse about any of it. Perfect muses.

Her style walks the line between traditional and contemporary: cats rendered with care and intention — literal, studied, present — surrounded by elements that refuse to follow the same rules. Abstract forms, flat color, unexpected mark-making. The cat is real. Everything else is up for debate.
